Organic Farm
Since 1990, the market for organic products has grown from nothing. Approximately 37,000,000 hectares worldwide are now farmed organically, This is 0.9 percent of total world farmland. The modern organic movement is a revival movement in the sense that it seeks to restore balance that was lost when technology grew rapidly in the 19th and 20th centuries. Organic farming was the original type of agriculture. Artificial fertilizers had been created during the 18th century. Increasing environmental awareness in the general population has transformed the originally supply-driven movement to a demand-driven one. Biological research on soil and soil organisms has proven beneficial to organic farming. Birdslagoon's Organic weed management promotes weed suppression. Organic standards require rotation of annual crops. It means that a single crop cannot be grown in the same location without a different, intervening crop. Pesticides with different modes of action should be rotated to minimize development of pesticide resistance. As pesticides are not used in organic farming, the products are healthy. Consumption of organic food will improve human health. Soma Birdslagoon use many techniques in organic farming - such as inter-cropping, mulching, and integration of crops and livestock - are practiced under various agricultural systems.
